Ingredients
Basmathi rice 3 cups
Grated coconut 1/2 cup
Rava(sooji) 2 tablespoonful
Sugar 4 teaspoonful
  Yeast 1 teaspoonful
Water As required
Salt As required
Preparation Method
Soak rice in water for 4 hours. Grind it with enough water
to make it a smooth paste. Make a batter by boiling rava
in 1/2 cup of water. Allow it to cool. Soak yeast in 1/4 cup
of water and 2 teaspoonful of sugar and keep it to rise.
Grind coconut with a little water and keep it aside. Mix
ground rice and rava,then add yeast. Mix well.
Finally add ground coconut.MIx well. Keep it aside for 8
hours. When ready to cook, add salt and 2 teaspoonful
sugar and make appam.
To make paalappam, dilute this with water to required
consistency,add more sugar if needed and make it.
Best if served with egg roast.
