Ingredients
Split red gram -115gm
Drumsticks -115gm
Ladies finger -115gm
Onions -115gm
Red chillies -5gm
Coconut oil - 30gm
Coriander seeds - 15gm
Turmeric -2pinch
  Mustard seeds -2 pinch
Cumin -1/2 tsp
Fenugreek - 2pinch
Tamarind - 15gm
Curry leaves - 2 sprig
Asafoetida - 2pinch
Salt -to taste
Water -500ml
Preparation Method
1. Wash gram and boil in water turmeric powder .
2. Wash and cut deumsticks and ladies finger into
evensiged pieces , slice onions.
3. When gram is cooked add vegetables.
4. Lightly fry in a little oil , coriander seeds ,
cumin fenugreek, asafetida and three –fourths of the red
chillies. Remove.
5. Grind spice and make it into affine paste.
6. Soak tamarind in hot water and extract juice.
7. when vegetables are cooked add ground ingredients
.Bring to boil .Add tamarind juice and simmer for a few
minutes .Remove.
8. Heat remaining oil and fry mustard seeds broken red
chilli Pieces and curry leaves .When mustard seeds, crackle
, pour into the sambar. Mix well
